Line and Shape
What locations and subject matter did you choose to shoot for your photos?
Somerset Berkly Regional High School is where I shoot this picture, and i used my friend Jacob's shoes to shoot the picture.
Describe the photos you took:What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
For the shot of the Retro Jordan shoe I was slightly close, with no zoom, a great use of focus I had to bend/squat to capture the just right pose.
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)Are your photographs horizontal or vertical?Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shots? In which photos? Describe.
The point of view for the picture was straight on, a little bit to the left side. My photographs are horizontal. Yes I did consider the rule of thirds, when i took the pictures at home ( I used the gris lines to help me) and it came out really good, so i took those aspects when I took the shot of the shoe.
Which one of of your photos is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewer’s eye through the work?
I would say the photo that I took of the sunrise on my phone by my house, It has such a great composure of rule of thirds, and such a marvelous dynamic composition that will lead the viewer's eyes right on the water
Pattern and Texture
Describe the photo:
What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?)
I choice the Shot of the leaves on the trees, to shoot this shot I was fairly up close and had to really focus on the compostions of leaves and the tree also in the background.
What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)
Straight on
Is your photograph horizontal or vertical?Does this photo follow the rule of thirds? Why or why not? (Describe).
My photo is horizontal, and yes it does follow the rule of thirds. When I took this picture I used the grid setting on my phone to help me follow the rule of thirds.
Is this photo an example of pattern, texture and/or rhythm? Explain
I would have too say this picture would have to have a little mix of Pattern, texture, and rhythm. I would have to say this because the different colors of leaves rep pattern, the tree mix with the leaves on the tree would have to repthe rhythm, and the texture would have to be the sharp smoothness of the picture.
